Ambassadors of ELAN
“I ended up at Charlotte’s because I had an assignment in a bilingual company in Flanders. French and Dutch were the spoken languages in this company. Charlotte helped me to prepare conversations in French. She taught me the words and expressions used in business step by step. Charlotte is meticulous, has an eye for detail and does not go for half work. Highly recommended if you want to improve your French, in any context.”
– Miriam Micuda, Learning that Sticks
“At the request of the Municipality of Maastricht, Charlotte Veugen / ELAN played a mediating role in the transformation of the important city statue of Minckelers. This transformation was the result of an ideas competition, which was won by the Liège artist collective Space Collection. In the long-term and intensive implementation of this project, Charlotte Veugen / ELAN played an important role as an interpreter/translator during the discussions, but certainly also as a mediator. During the project, tensions arose more often because of the differences between the Dutch and Francophone culture. She has always been able to resolve these tensions thanks to skilful and diplomatic manoeuvring. Partly due to her important contribution, the project was successfully implemented. We are indebted to Charlotte Veugen / ELAN for her energetic and correct efforts.”
– Lei Meisen, senior policy officer communication Municipality of Maastricht
The MVB is a show and marching band in the Dutch top segment. Performances are given all over Europe. We give frequent performances in France at prestigious international music events. Charlotte / ELAN has helped us several times with translations and conducting business conversations. This is always done in a professional and very fast way. Charlotte has an eye for the special dynamics between French municipal and regional authorities and commercial organisations. In all this, our position as a non-profit organisation is viewed from the perspective of social entrepreneurship and great empathy. Charlotte is of great support to us, and we express the wish to be able to make use of her expertise for a long time from now.”
– Mattie Garnier, Chairman Maastricht Scout Band
“As President of the Dutch-Walloon Business Club (NWBC: Nederlands-Waalse Business Club) I have worked with Charlotte for several years. I know Charlotte as very involved and dedicated. She is completely at ease in Francophone culture and language. Charlotte works in depth when she takes it upon herself to plan activities and organize meetings. She makes her network work when needed. Her first objective is always to obtain results.”
– Jurgen Moors, NWBC President
“Charlotte is an adequate lady who maintains contact with her customers in an extremely correct and professional way. In 2014 and 2015 she made the translations for the communication with the Municipality of Liège for the Château Maestricht Foundation. In addition, she also made contacts and was present as a translator during the conversations we had with the directors. She also contributed to the translation of the Château Maestricht magazine. Charlotte does not wait, acts herself and thinks along.”
– Eddy Vandeweyer, organisation Château Maestricht, “La Saison Culiniaire”
